A
Corsair 31-1D trimaran built at the end of 2004. Imported to the UK
in 2008 (VAT has been paid) and day-raced in the Solent, and
competed successfully in the 2010 RB+I two-handed race. The Corsair
31-1D is the standard well proven C31 package but with a carbon
fibre rig and interior, smooth-walled floats, enhanced carbon fibre
high performance centreboard and rudder, sophisticated sail controls
(Jib sheeting etc), longer retractable bowsprit, and an oversized
mainsail to ensure exceptional performance.
It comes only in the extended
aft-cockpit configuration. The design emphasis has been on light
weight and reduced drag with added power from a suite of racing
sails including asymmetrical spinnaker and screacher.
