| De Wadvogel 33 is en doorontwikkeling van de Wadkat waarmee architect Jan Bart de Jong wilde aantonen een verbeterde versie van de Wharram Catamarans uit de zestiger jaren hoger aan de wind kon zeilen en daardoor zeewaardiger was. De "Artus" is door de ontwerper zelf gebouwd voor eigen gebruik en goed bijgehouden door de huidige eigenaar, die zo langzamerhand naar iets meer comfort op zoek is. De Wadvogel is een ideale catamaran voor lange zwerftochten langs de hele Waddenkust, die ook een oversteek naar Engeland of Zuid Zweden niet schuwt. | The "Wadvogel" is a further development of the Wadkat with which architect JanBart de Jong wanted to show that an improved version of the Wharram catamarans of the sixties would sail closer to the wind, so that they could beat away from a lee-shore.
