Farrier's F31-R is de nog snellere wedstrijdversie van de meer conventioneel gebouwde "gewone" F-31. De ruimte in beide schepen is gelijk, maar door toepassing van veel koolstofvezel is de R-versie een stuk lichter. Ook de draaibare koolstof mast met maximaal ruim 108m² zeil bij een zeilklaar gewicht van 1380 kg draagt bij tot optimale prestaties. Het bijna 300kg lagere gewicht t.o.v. de standaard F-31 maakt ook het traileren achter een sterke gezins-auto mogelijk. Een volbloed voor de prijs van een standaardboot ! In 2008 is de romp-dek verbinding van de drijvers verfraaid en versterkt, is een eenvoudig 1 pits kooktoestel geplaatst, evenals een deur naar de WC en stromend koud water naar de "kombuis".

Farrier's F31-R is the even faster racing version of the more conventionnally built standard F-31. The internal room is equal in both trimarans, but the extensive use of carbon-fibres results in considerable weight-savings. The pivoting carbon-wingmast and the max. 108m² sailarea to windward for a ready to sail weight of 1380 kg also contribute to optimum performances. The almost 300kg lighter R-version also allows the towing behind a strong family-car. A thoroughbred for the price of a standardboat ! In 2008 the hull-deck joint was reinforced and streamlined, a simple 1-flame gascooker was installed, as well as pressurized cold water to the "galley" and a door to the head.
