De MaineCat 30 is een perfecte, goed zeilende tropenboot met uitstekende bescherming tegen de zon. Afhankelijk van de omstandigheden wordt met open of dichte ramen gevaren. De huidige Nederlandse eigenaar (motor-)zeilde het schip in 2004 probleemloos van Key West naar Curaçao, grotendeels op de autopilot. Het is een droge zeiler die dankzij het hoge brugdek praktisch nooit op de golven slaat. The MaineCat 30 is a well performing cruising catamaran, perfectly adjusted to the Tropics with excellent protection against the sun. According to circumstances she can be sailed with open or closed windows. The present Dutch owner (motor-)sailed her effortlessly from Key West to Curaçao in 2004, mainly on autopilot. The Mainecat is a very dry boat. Thanks to the high bridegdeck she knows practically no bridgedeck slamming.
