Wharram' s Tiki 30 valt boven in de groep van Coastal Trek catamarans, maar is zeker ook zeewaardig en sterk genoeg voor langere zeereizen. Daarnaast is dit model ook ontworpen voor trailer-transport, wat beperkingen oplegde aan de accommodatie, maar niet aan de zeileigenschappen. De Tiki 30 is één van de snelste Wharram catamarans. De 1e eigenaar/bouwer heeft zijn "Elf" in de afgelopen 25 jaar verder geoptimaliseerd voor solo-zeilen met eenvoudige hulpmiddelen, geheel in lijn met de Wharram gedachte: Wat er niet is kan ook niet kapot gaan. Zo is de oorspronkelijk zoom om de mast, die het strijken van een nat zeil bemoeilijkt,vervangen door rakbanden.  De ondiepe  kieltjes beschermen de rompen bij het droogvallen. De catamaran wordt zeilklaar opgeleverd in Noord Groningen.

Wharram's Tiki 30 comes at the top of his range with Coastal Trek catamarans, but is certainly also seaworthy and strong enough for longer sea voyages. This model is also designed as the largest possible trailer-sailer, which simplified her accommodation but not her sailing performance. The Tiki 30 is one of the best sailing Wharram catamarans.  The first owner/builder further optimised his "Elf" during the past 25 years for single-handed sailing with simple equipment, all in line with Wharram's concept: What's not there cannot break down. As an example, the sail sleeve around the mast, that makes a wet sail hard to lower, was replaced by a parrelline as on the traditional Dutch gaff sails. The shallow keels protect the hulls when drying out. The catamaran is handed over ready to sail in the northern Netherlands.
