De Pair of Twins 38 is de laatste  catamaran  in deze serie van Harm Veenema, ontwikkeld voor eigen gebruik op basis van zijn ervaringen met de voorgaande Pair of Twins catamarans. Voor de rompvorm is geluisterd naar de adviezen van de beroemde Prof. Gerritsma van de sleeptank in Delft. Het gevolg is een ondiepe romp die het water makkelijk loslaat. Mede dankzij de aërodynamische opbouw zeilt het jacht ook goed aan de wind. De Airex PVC sandwich constructie heeft zoveel drijfvermogen dat deze catamaran onzinkbaar is. Het aantrekkelijke interieur met 5 ruime slaaplaatsen zit vol met handige oplossingen uitgevoerd in de beste materialen. De VW turbo diesel drijft langs mechanische weg twee ophaalbare saildrives onder het brugdek aan.

De huidige Duitse eigenaar kocht deze catamaran in 2024 voor een zeer geslaagd Atlantisch rondje. Hij vernieuwde de navigatie-apparatuur, installeerde LED verlichting en complementeerde de uitrusting en zeilgarderobe, bracht nieuwe teak-stijl vloeren. Hij biedt het jacht nu te koop aan in Noord West Frankrijk, om ruimte te maken voor een nog grotere catamaran.

The Pair of Twins 38 is the last catamaran in this series by Harm Veenema designed for his own use, based on his experiences with the previous Pair of Twins catamarans. The hullshape is dictated by the famous Prof. Gerritsma of the towing tank at Delft. This led to a shallow hull that slips easilly through and over the water. Partly due the aerodynamic superstructute the yacht sails well to windward. The Airex PVC sandwich skins have so much floatation that it renders this catamaran unsinkable. The attractive interior with 5 large size bunks is full with practical solutions made from the best materials. The VW-Turbo diesel mechanically drives two retractable saildrives under the bridgedeck.

The current German owner bought this catamaran in 2024 for a very successful Atlantic round. He renewed the navigation equipment, installed LED lighting and complemented the equipment and sailing wardrobe and installed new teak-style floors. He now offers the yacht for sale in North West France, to make room for an even larger catamaran.
