Wayne Barrett is een Australisch ontwerper met een 50-jarige ervaring in het bouwen van snelle jachten en multihulls uit lichte kunststoffen. Op basis van zijn M80 trimaran ontstond in samenwerking met de eveneens zeer ervaren bouwer van de "Learn to Fly" een grotere versie aangeduid met M90. Voor de 80 jarige bouwer was dit zijn 9de multihull die hij sinds de zestiger jaren bouwde en al zijn voorgaande ervaringen zijn in deze trimaran verwerkt. In het CTC-Nieuws # 262 staat een artikel met veel foto's van de bouw. Het is een combinatie geworden van Bruynzeel hechthout en Western Red Cedar latten, versterkt met  glaslegsels en waar nodig koolstof stroken en PVC-schuim spanten, waardoor bij het lage gewicht toch een hele sterke en stijve constructie ontstond. Om die reden is de M90 niet trailerbaar gemaakt, maar de boot is zo snel dat bijna iedere Kust in Europa binnen afzienbare tijd te bezeilen is. Vanwege enkele fysieke problemen moet de nu 84-jarige eigenaar met pijn in het hart voor zijn"Learn to Fly" nu een volgende eigenaar zoeken die de kwaliteiten van deze unieke trimaran weet te waarderen. Het jacht verkeert in absolute nieuw staat en kan in Zuid-Holland bezichtigd worden.

Wayne Barrett is an Australien designer with 50 years experience building fast yachts and multihulls with light composites. On the base of his M80 trimaran a larger version called M90 was created in collaboration with the equally experienced builder of the "Learn to Fly". For the 80-year-old builder this was his 9th multihull he built since the sixties and all his previous experiences were incorporated into this trimaran. The CTC-Nieuws # 262  contains an article with many photographs of the construction. It has become a combination of Bruynzeel marine plywood and Western Red Cedar strips, reinforced with glass rovings and where necessary carbon strips and PVC foam stiffeners, which created a very strong and rigid but light trimaran. For this reason, the M90 is not made trailable, but the boat is so fast that almost every Coast in Europe can be reached under sail in a reasonable time. Due to some physical problems, and with pain in the heart the now 84-year-old owner needs to find a next owner who appreciates the qualities of this unique trimaran. The yacht is in an absolute new state and can be inspected in South-West Netherlands.
