De Iroquois mk2 is een levendige maar ook comfortabele kajuitcatamaran. De “Linnea” is de verlengde 2a versie van dit type, die nog beter zeilt een meer ruimte biedt dan de standaard mk2. 8 jaar geleden kocht de huidige eigenaar deze catamaran, waar toen nog heel wat opgeknapt moest worden. Tot 2019 is het jacht voortdurende verbeterd en verder uitgerust zonder grote gewichtstoename. Ook in dat jaar is er nog flink in het schip geïnvesteerd, zoals een nieuwe fok en genua; in 2018 werden het grootzeil en de gennaker vervangen en daarvóór zijn de buiskap, kuiptent en de dubbele motor-installatie aangeschaft.
In de laatste 8 jaar zeilde “Linnea” voornamelijk op de Duitse Wadden, waar de Iroquois zich prima thuis voelt dankzij de oplopende roeren en zwaarden en een minimale diepgang van 45 cm. Het jacht wordt nu in Noordwest Duitsland te koop aangeboden wegens de aanschaf van een grotere catamaran.

The Iroquois mk2 is an agile yet homely cruising catamaran. "Linnea" is the extended 2a version of this type, that sails even better and offers more room than the standard mk2.

8 years ago the present owner bought this catamaran, that needed then quite some sprucing up. Until 2019 the yacht is continuously upgraded and equipped without adding too much weight. In that year too some large investments were made, such as a new  headsail and genoa; in 2018 he spend money on a new mainsail and a blister and before that the sprayhood, cockpit-tent and double outboard-installation were realized. During the last 8 years "Linnea" sailed primarily on the German Waddensea, where the Iroquois feels very at home thanks to the pivoting boards and rudders and a minimal draft of 45cm. The yacht is now for sale in north-west Germany because the owner has found a larger catamaran.
