“Vlotter” is een Kelly-Cat 37, waarvan het casco op de werf van Derek Kelsall,de

bekende Engelse multihull ontwerper gebouwd is, waarna het jacht door de eerste Duitse eigenaar tussen 1988 en 1992 professioneel is afgebouwd. De Kelly-cats worden gekenmerkt door een centraal midzwaard en ophaalbaar roer, waardoor de diepgang zeer beperkt is, gecombineerd met een groot draag-vermogen en veel ruimte in het interieur. Het zijn veilige en comfortabele schepen voor lange zeereizen of permanente bewoning. "Vlotter" is uitgerust met een Ford Thorneycroft diesel in een machinekamer in de stuurboord achter hut, die twee oliemotoren aandrijft met conventionele schroefassen. Eind 2004 ging de "Vlotter" over in Belgische handen. Ook deze nieuwe eigenaar heeft het jacht steeds goed onderhouden. De huidige Nederlandse eigenaar zoekt een nog wat grotere catamaran en biedt het jacht daarom aan in haar uitstekende staat.

“Vlotter” is a Kelly-Cat 37, of which the casco was built by Derek Kelsall's yard, at Sandwich, after which the yacht was professionally finished by the first German owner between 1988 and 1992. The Kelly cats are characterized by a central lifting keel and lifting rudder, which means that the draft is very limited, combined with a great load capacity and plenty of space in the interior. They are safe and comfortable yachts for long voyages or permanent liveaboard "Vlotter" is equipped with a Ford Thorneycroft diesel in an engine room in the starboard aft cabin, which drives two hydraulic engines with conventional propeller shafts. At the end of 2004, the "Vlotter" passed into Belgian hands. This new owner has always maintained the yacht well. The current Dutch owner is looking for an even bigger catamaran and therefore sells the yacht in her excellent condition.
