De "Houd van Hout" is speciaal ontworpen voor serieus zeezeilen, solo of met kleine bemanning. Het schip heeft fantastische zeil eigenschappen en een fijn zee gedrag. De uitrusting en accommodatie bieden een volgende solo-zeiler of een koppel dat verre reizen wil maken een veilig, snel en comfortabel schip, dat haar kwaliteiten in diverse zee-wedstrijden bewezen heeft door hoge scores in b.v. de OSTAR en de RBR. Het jacht is gebouwd volgens de constant-camber methode waarbij stroken triplex onder vacuüm met epoxyhars op elkaar gelijmd worden tot onverwoestbare voorgebogen huiddelen.  Door de geringe diepgang, is het ook prachtig om met het schip over het wad te varen, genieten van de zonsondergang achter het anker of ergens drooggevallen op een plaat.

The "Houd van Hout" is specially designed for serious sailing, solo or with a small crew. The yacht combines a sparkling performance with a kind movement in waves. The equipment and the accommodation offer the next solo-sailor or couple a safe, fast and comfortable yacht for serious voyaging. She has proven her qualities in various races like the RBR and OSTAR with high rankings and is holder of the Lizzie McMullen trophy . The yacht is built in the constant camber method whereby woodveneer strips are glued with epoxyresin diagonally over a mold to produce indestructible curved skin sections. The underwater parts are protected with a copper filled epoxy coating. The shallow draft allows the passage over shallow ridges and allows easy anchoring or drying out in tidal estuaries to enjoy beautiful sunsets.
